Xiaomi Sells More Than 300,000 Redmi K40 Smartphones In Just 5 Minutes

As expected, the Redmi K40 and K40 Pro were officially launched at 00:00 am (local time) on 4 March in China. Right after that, Redmi announced that it had sold over 300,000 units after just 5 minutes of sales.
Specifically, at 00:00 local time (March 4), the two Redmi K30 and K40 Pro were officially available on the online stores of Xiaomi and other e-commerce sites of China. And after that 5 minutes, both models have sold up to 300,000 units and were sold out immediately. According to Redmi, the next sale will take place on March 8.
Talking about the Redmi K30 series, Wang Teng Thomas, Xiaomi Product Manager said that the company was working hard to increase sales volume. Consumers would soon be able to purchase the Redmi K30 series more easily in the middle of this month.
Earlier, Xiaomi also confirmed that future smartphone sales could be in short supply due to the lack of chips. However, it seems like Redmi and Xiaomi have been apple to prepare enough supplies for the Redmi K40 series for at least this March until they are out of stock.
At the moment, the Redmi K40 series is the hottest product line since they are the cheapest smartphones that have the Snapdragon 888 and 870 chipsets. The price of the Redmi K40 starts at CNY 1,999 around Rs 22,500 while the Redmi K40 Pro is more expensive at CNY 2,799 (around Rs 31,500) and the Redmi K30 Pro+ is the most expensive one at CNY 4,699 (around Rs 41,600).
