Vivo Y89 With Snapdragon 626 SoC, 6.26-Inch Display Launched: Price & Specifications

The Chinese phone maker Vivo just launched a new phone in its Vivo Y lineup in the Chinese market, and it is called Vivo Y89. The handset is now listed on the Vivo’s official website, and buyers can now buy the phone from AliExpress. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 626 processor and sports a large 6.26-inch notched display and a dual camera setup on the rear. It is backed by a 3,260 mAh battery.

Vivo released the Vivo Y89 just shortly after it unveiled the Vivo Z3i Standard Edition in China. The Z3i Standard Edition comes packed with an Helio P60 processor along with 128GB storage. We have yet known the official release date of the handset in the Indian market.

Vivo Y89: Price & Availability

Vivo offers the Vivo Y89 in the Chinese market at a price of RMB 1,598 (around Rs. 16,600), and it is up for sale on Chinese e-retailer AliExpress at a starting price of $236.99 (around Rs. 16,700). The handset comes in two color options which are Black Gold and Aurora Purple.

In terms of hardware specs, it is officially listed on the Vivo’s China official website, suggesting that the handset supports dual SIM card slots and runs Android 8.1 Oreo. It sports a 6.26-inch FHD+ display and an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage which is expandable up to 256GB via a microSD slot.

In the camera department, the Vivo Y89 will feature a vertically stacked dual camera setup on the rear. The setup includes a 16MP main sensor and a 2MP secondary depth sensor. On the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera. The camera features are panorama, professional mode, backlight photo, beauty, AR shoot, slow motion, filter, blur photo and more.

The Vivo Y89 will be backed by a 3,260 mAh battery and its connectivity options include Wi-Fi 2.4G/5.8G, USB OTG, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth and more. The phone’s dimensions are 154.81 x 75.03 x 7.89 mm and its weight is 149.3g.
