TENAA has just certified a new smartphone from the Chinese phone maker Vivo with model number Vivo V1838A. The certification also reveals some key specifications of the handset. This upcoming Vivo V1838A might be among the devices that could launch along with the Vivo S1 in the Chinese market on 19 March.

The dimensions of Vivo V1838A are 157.66x74.26.8.95 mm with a weight of 188.3g. The handset is tipped to come with a 6.3-inch AMOLED FHD+ display with a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080. On the imaging front, the phone will likely come with a triple camera system on the rear with a 12MP main sensor paired with a 13MP sensor and also a 5MP sensor. Up front, there will be a 16MP camera for taking selfies and video calling. As for the software, it is listed to run FunTouch OS which is based on the latest Android 9 Pie. Under the hood, it will pack a Snapdragon 710 octa-core SoC. In terms of memory configuration, Vivo will offer the handset in two options with 6GB of RAM/128GB of internal storage or 8GB of RAM/256GB of storage. Powering the phone will be a beefy 4,000 mAh battery with support for fast charging.

For security, it is equipped with an on-screen fingerprint scanner and also probably an elevating front camera which is similar to most of the recently-launched Vivo smartphones. Since we haven’t got any photo of this handset yet, we still have to wait for sometime to get a look at its design. There is also speculation suggesting that this Vivo V1838A phone might be the Vivo X27 which is expected to come to the Chinese market on the same day. Vivo was previously tipped to announce the Vivo S1 as a Vivo V15’s variant in the Chinese market on 19 March. The Vivo S1 is the first device in the Vivo S series. To recall, the Chinese company is also planning to release the Vivo S1 in the Indian market via online channels only.
