The mid-range smartphone segment in the Indian market might be the busiest one with many phones launching every month. The phones in the segment are usually priced at between Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 30,000. One of the most popular handsets is the Poco F1 which was launched last year and quickly grabbed massive customer attention thanks to its flagship-level hardware specifications for a much more affordable price. A few months later, Vivo and Oppo went for different strategies to compete with Xiaomi’s high influence in the mid-range segment. The two companies launched a few smartphones like the Vivo V15, Vivo V15 Pro, and the Oppo F11 Pro, all of which come with the new pop-up selfie camera and impressive rear camera system. Therefore, we believe that it would be best to pit the newly-announced Vivo V15 against the Poco F1 and Oppo F11 Pro to see which phone deserves to be the better one. Check out our detailed comparison below:
Vivo V15 vs. POCO F1 vs. Oppo F11 Pro: Price
The newly-introduced Vivo V15 is now only up for pre-ordering in the Indian market. It comes in a sole option with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage for Rs. 22,999.
As for the Poco F1, Xiaomi offers a total of three memory configurations for the handset, including 6GB of RAM/64GB storage model, 6GB of RAM/128GB of storage variant, and 8GB of RAM/256GB of storage. These three options are priced at Rs. 19,999, Rs. 21,999, and Rs. 28,999, respectively. Xiaomi also launched a special edition of the Poco F1 called Poco F1 Armoured Edition with 6GB of RAM/128GB of storage or 8GB of RAM/256GB of storage for Rs. 23,999 and Rs. 29,999, respectively.
Lastly, the Oppo F11 Pro also comes in two variants, including 4GB of RAM/64GB of storage variant for Rs. 19,990 and 6GB of RAM/128GB of storage model for Rs. 24,990.
Vivo V15 vs. POCO F1 vs. Oppo F11 Pro: Specifications & Features
Both of the F11 Pro and Vivo V15 sport a 6.53-inch IPS LCD panel with FHD+ (2,340 x 1,080p) resolution and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The Vivo V15 features a layer of Gorilla Glass 5 for further protection. Meanwhile, the smaller display of the Poco F1 is a 6.18-inch IPS LCD FHD+ display with a wide notch on top of the screen, 2,246 x 1,080p resolution, and an aspect ratio of 18.7:9.
As mentioned, the Xiaomi offering easily bested the other two handsets from Vivo and Oppo with its flagship-tier Snapdragon 845 SoC under the hood. The Oppo and Vivo still come with a decent mid-range MTK Helio P70 chipset. However, when it comes to performance, the Snapdragon 845 SoC will always be more powerful than the Helio P70 SoC. If a powerful smartphone is what you need, the Poco F1 is a far better choice over the other two.
As for battery, all three phones pack a large 4,000mAh cell with support for fast charging. However, even though the Oppo F11 Pro and Vivo V15 are launched in 2019, they still both come with a dated micro-USB port. Meanwhile, the Poco F1 which was launched in August last year features a USB Type-C port.
Vivo V15 vs. POCO F1 vs. Oppo F11 Pro: Cameras
On paper, the Vivo V15 should have the best cameras of the three. It comes with a triple camera setup on the rear with a 24M main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. Paired with the primary sensor are an 8MP secondary camera with an f/2.2 ultra-wide lens and a 5MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. In the front, there is a 32MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture.
As for the Oppo F11 Pro, its dual rear camera setup includes a 48MP main sensor with an aperture of f/1.8 and a 5MP secondary depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. Up front, it comes with a 16MP camera with an f/2.4 aperture for taking selfies and video calling.
Meanwhile, the Poco F1 sports the worst camera setup with a 12MP primary camera with an f/1.9 aperture and a 5MP depth sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. Taking selfies and video calling is in charged by a 20MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture.
Vivo V15 vs. POCO F1 vs. Oppo F11 Pro: Verdict
In conclusion, if you are looking for a phone that offers the best possible performance for the price range, the Poco F1 is undoubtedly the best option out there. However, if you are a kind of person who uses cameras much more often, I would suggest either the Oppo F11 Pro or Vivo V15. It is hard to tell if the camera setup on the Oppo F11 Pro or Vivo V15 is better, so it would be best to see the actual reviews of them to find out.
