After the Galaxy A71, the Galaxy A72 will become another ace of Samsung for the mid-range segment. This time, the highlight will be the smartphone’s OIS (optical image stabilization) feature. What do you expect from the Galaxy A72? Here is what we would like to see regarding Samsung A72 price, specs, and features.
1. The camera of the Galaxy A72 should be one of the best
First, let’s talk about optical image stabilization tech. It is a mechanical technique that stabilizes images by controlling the optical path to the sensor. For OIS, there are two main methods, either by moving the lens’ position or the module itself. For example, when you turn the camera slightly to the left, the OIS system will shift to the right at an angle that is enough to compensate for the deviation, stabilizing the images and videos.

Since the price of the OIS module is not cheap, it is a big move from Samsung to bring this technology to a mid-range phone without increasing the cost. Although Sammobile reported that the Galaxy A72 could be Samsung’s first mid-range smartphone with OIS, we found out that the Galaxy A7 released back in 2016 also has OIS.
According to phoneaqua, the Galaxy A72 is expected to have 4 cameras. The main camera has 64MP with an f/1.8 aperture, 26mm focal length (wide), optical image stabilization, and phase detection. An ultra-wide-angle camera with 12MP, an f/2.2 aperture, and 13mm focal length. A macro camera with 5MP and an f/2.4 aperture. And finally a 5MP depth sensor with an aperture of f/2.2.

Before we can test the Galaxy A72’s capabilities to take pictures, the optical image stabilization technology is actually more useful for people who like to record videos on their phones.
With this tech, the videos you record will have better quality. And you can just hold the phone in your hand without having to use other supporting tools like a gimbal.

People who love to do vlogs or who are YouTubers can consider the Samsung Galaxy A72 as a new tool.
2. Samsung Galaxy A72 to have Qualcomm Snapdragon chip and a nearly 6,000mAh battery?
Since the Galaxy A71 is powered by the Snapdragon 730 chip with 8GB Ram, and 128GB ROM, it is likely that the Galaxy A72 will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G. This will definitely be a good candidate for this phone as it possesses 5G technology. And not to mention that the Snapdragon 765G is also a powerful chip for the mid-range configuration.

Along with that, the RAM of the A72 will be 8GB. And most likely, there will be 2 versions of internal memory, one with 128GB and one with 256GB for different needs. Of course, the memory can also be expanded with a memory card to up to 1TB.
With this configuration, users can comfortably use the A72 for daily routine tasks, video recording, and even playing popular online games. The A71, its predecessor, has a 4,500mAh battery with fast charging technology. With the trend of smartphone manufacturers increasing the battery capacity of their smartphones, we expect the new Galaxy A72 will have a battery range of 5,500 to 6,000mAh.

3. What will the price of the Galaxy A72 will be like?
With the specs and all the tech coming with the Galaxy A72, the price of the smartphone is expected to be Rs 34,999. This is for the base variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. In this price range, the Galaxy A72 will have to compete against a strong competitor from Apple, the iPhone SE 2020 with the starting price of Rs 35,900 for the 3GB RAM variant with 64GB of storage.

As 2021 is approaching, leaks of the Galaxy A72 have surfaced online. These alleged renders hint that, on the outside, the differences between the A72 and its predecessor, the A71, are subtle.
The images suggest the smartphone to have a 6.7-inch display and a hole-punch camera in the center, which is the same as the A71. Unfortunately, there is no information regarding the Samsung A72 release date. But rumors have it that Samsung will release the phone in the first half of 2021.

That is all the information that we have got regarding the Samsung A72 price, release date, specs, and rumors. We will update this article if more information is available.
