HMD Global has revamped the "legendary" Nokia-branded phones, and most recently, the Nokia 5310 XpressMusic feature phone that launched 13 years ago. This new model has a similar design as its predecessor but features a more compact and elegant body.
Nokia 5310: Price & Availability
The Nokia 5310 price will be set at $42, which is equivalent to around Rs. 3,100. The handset will go on sale from March in either Black or White color variants.
Nokia 5310: Specifications & Features
The phone measures 123.7 x 52.4 x 13.1 mm and weighs 88.2 grams. The two main color variants and the color scheme are still the same as before, Red white and Black red. On the side of the device are still the same dedicated music hotkeys as its predecessor, including a button to activate the music player, volume buttons, and play/ pause, forward and rewind keys.
The feature phone is equipped with a 2.4-inch QVGA display, with a familiar physical keyboard at the bottom half. The phone still has a VGA camera and rear LED flash. It still has 16GB storage and supports microSD card up to 32GB.
HMD Global retains the unique feature of the Nokia 5310 XpressMusic phone, the ability to play music. It comes front-facing dual-speaker system or if you want, there are a headphone jack and Bluetooth support in case you want to connect your headphones instead.
Unfortunately, this phone is really a brick, even though it is released in 2020. Because it only supports 2G network, does not support 3G or 4G. And it doesn’t have any social media apps as well.
In return, HMD has upgraded the battery capacity to 1,200 mAh, giving a standby time of up to 22-30 days. The device also supports 2 SIMs, running Series 30+ operating system.
