Gaming-Centric Smartphone Vivo iQOO Will Reportedly Come To India In June

The first offering and also gaming-centric phone by Vivo sub-brand Vivo, the Vivo iQOO will reportedly come to the Indian market in June this year.

The new sub-brand of the Chinese phone maker Vivo iQOO just announced its first handset dubbed Vivo iQOO in China on 1 March. The gaming-centric phone is still only up for sale in the Chinese market, but it is now tipped to come to the Indian market in Q2 of this year.
According to 91Mobiles, The gaming phone Vivo iQOO will make its way to India by either the end of May or early June 2019. The Chinese phone maker is said to announce another gaming-centric phone in India after that.
iQOO will offer the handset between $435 to $870 (around Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 60,000), and it will most likely compete with another Chinese maker OnePlus which has been getting a lot of attention in this segment.
iQOO Vivo: Specifications & Features
Moving to the Vivo iQOO’s specifications, it sports a 6.41-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080px with a ‘Halo’ notch on top of the display and a 91.7 percent screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, it packs a Snapdragon 855 SoC, paired with an Adreno 640 GPU. As mentioned, there will be a total of four memory and storage configurations: 6GB of RAM/128GB of storage, 8GB of RAM/128GB of storage, 8GB of RAM/256GB of storage, and 12GB of RAM/256GB of storage. In terms of software, it will run Vivo’s FunTouch OS that is based on Android 9.0 Pie.
In terms of camera, the Vivo iQOO comes with a triple camera setup on the rear, including a 13MP main sensor, a 12MP secondary sensor with a wide-angle lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, there will be a 12MP selfie camera. A 4,000 mAh battery will keep the phone ticking. While the base option will have support for 22.5W fast charging, the three higher variants will have come with Vivo’s 44W Super Flash Charge which is claimed to fuel the phone from 0 to 50 percent in just 15 minutes, 85 percent in 30 minutes and a full charge in around 45 minutes. For connectivity options, it has a USB-C port, dual-SIM slot, and other standard options.
