Rumor has it that we will have an account switcher and a new tool for drawing in launching in the near future for Google Photos

It appears that Google Photos is working on some new features. Rumor has it that we will have an account switcher and a new tool for drawing launching in the near future.

On Twitter, @wongmjane found out about these new tools when she enabled them manually. For now, there has not been any specific launch date on which we can expect to experience the new features ourselves. Since the two tools are working, we have reasons to believe that a full rollout is not something too far-off.

The account switcher is the less surprising feature between the two upcoming new tools, as Google has been slowly adding the same thing to its apps in the past few months. So it comes as no surprise that we will see it launched for Google Photos.

In another tweet, Wong said that switching between different accounts can be as easy as swiping, much like what you have in Gmail.

The more exciting tool is the drawing interface for easier photo editing that Google is developing. What we have are tools like a pen with seven colors, text caption creator, and a highlighter.

The two tools share some significant similarities with the Markup screenshot editor we have with Android Pie and above

So far, Google has said nothing about these two tools in Google Photos as well as their launch date. However, they will surely be warmly welcomed by users. They share some significant similarities with the Markup screenshot editor we have with Android Pie and above.
