For some time now, in the Indian market, Xiaomi has been known as the king of entry to mid-range smartphones. In 2020, the Chinese tech company started shifting their focus to a more premium outlook. By expanding its premium ecosystem, the company wants to compete with OnePlus. While the Mi 10T and the Mi 10 are seen as the competitors of the OnePlus 8T and 8 Pro, the Xiaomi Mi 10i is the rival of the OnePlus Nord. This is Xiaomi’s attempt to become a serious player in the under Rs 30,000 segment. Check out our Xiaomi Mi 10i review to see if it can beat the OnePlus Nord.
Xiaomi Mi 10i Release Date
Xiaomi launched the Mi 10i on January 5, 2021. The device went on sale on January 7. Consumers can purchase the Mi 10i on Xiaomi’s official website and Amazon India.

Xiaomi Mi 10i Price
There are three configurations available. Xiaomi Mi 10i price in India starts from Rs 20,999 for the variant with 6GB of Ram and 64GB of internal storage. This version hasn’t been listed for sale yet. Oddly, the variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage is only Rs 1,000 more expensive, at Rs 21,999. Meanwhile, the most expensive variant at Rs 23,999 is the one with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

If you have an ICICI credit or debit card, you can get RS 2,000 cashback. And if you are a member of Amazon Prime, you can get a coupon for a Rs 1,000 additional discount.
Xiaomi Mi 10i Design
The design of the Xiaomi Mi 10i is very similar to that of the Poco X3. The smartphone comes with a circular camera module, reminding us of the OnePlus 7T, especially the Pacific Sunrise color. The back of the phone is made using polycarbonate material. Xiaomi uses Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection. The back has a smooth finish and isn’t a fingerprint magnet, surprisingly. There are three color options to choose from Midnight Black, Atlantic Blue, and Pacific Sunrise.

Out of them, the most attention-grabbing one is the Pacific Sunrise color. With this version, the back has a color gradient that changes from blue to white, and orange.
The camera module is quite large. However, it doesn’t protrude much. On the right, there is a fingerprint sensor embedded into the power button. Right above it is the volume button. On the left is a hybrid dual-SIM tray. This means you will have to choose between extra storage and a second SIM.

You still have a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone has a rare feature, which is the tiny notification LED that is placed right next to the earpiece. The LED will light up when you have messages or call alerts and when you charge the phone.
Xiaomi Mi 10i Display
The smartphone has a 6.67-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The smartphone has a feature called AdaptiveSync that will switch the refresh rate to match the content, ranging from 30Hz, 48Hz, 50Hz, 60Hz, 90Hz, to 120Hz. Its maximum brightness is 450 nits. It is TÜV Rheinland certified as well for low blue content consumption. It supports HDR+ and HD content streaming. Xiaomi uses Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection.

Xiaomi Mi 10i Specs & Performance
The smartphone comes with the new Snapdragon 750G chipset, an octa-core processor clocking at 2.2Ghz. The chip is built on an 8nm fabrication. The Adreno 619 GPU is in charge of the graphics. With Qualcomm’s X52 5G modem, the chipset also supports 5G.

The Mi 10i runs on Android 10 and MIUI 12.0.3 interface of Xiaomi. With MIUI, it is expected that the smartphone comes with bloatware and promotional content.
The phone’s benchmark performance is mixed. For AnTuTu, the Mi 10i got a score of 3,29,286. Meanwhile, the phone crashed when tested for Geekbench 5. When playing Call of Duty Mobile, the phone becomes a bit warm but isn’t too much to handle.
Xiaomi Mi 10i Camera
This is where the Mi 10i stands out. The smartphone comes with a 108MP camera using the Samsung HM2 sensor, marking its debut in India. Besides the main camera, it has an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a field of view of 120 degrees, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro camera. It can also record 4K and maco videos.

On the front, it has a 16MP selfie camera.
Xiaomi Mi 10i Battery
The Mi 10i comes with a 4,820 battery with 33W fast charging support. It takes an hour to charge the phone from 0 to 100%. Wireless charging isn’t available though.
That is all the information that we have got regarding the Xiaomi Mi 10i release date, price, and specs. We hope that it can help you decide whether to spend your money on the device or not.
