A new Vivo phone was spotted on China’s TENAA last week. Now, the phone goes official today. Despite having nearly identical specifications and a similar look as the Vivo Z1 or Vivo V9, the phone is launched under the name Vivo Z3x.

Vivo Z3x: Price & Availability

The phone will come in a single memory configuration with 4GB of RAM / 64GB of storage for a price of RMB 1,198 (around Rs. 12,400). There are a total of three color variants that you can choose, including are Red, Black, or Purple. Vivo is now gathering reservations on the company’s online store while interested buyers can start pre-ordering the handset from 1 May or straight up buy the phone a week later.
Vivo Z3x: Specs & Features
The new Vivo Z3x sports a 6.26-inch Full-HD+ LCD panel with a slightly wide notch that might sometime be called retro. The front notch houses a 16MP selfie snapper with an aperture of f/2.0 and the earpiece. As mentioned, this new Vivo Z3x has a nearly identical set of specs compared to the Vivo Z1 that was already launched last year. And the difference lies on the selfie camera as the Vivo Z1 came with a 13MP selfie camera instead of the 16MP shooter on the Vivo Z3x. The rear camera is the same on both the two phones, including a 13MP primary camera with a secondary 2MP depth sensor. There is only a fingerprint scanner mounted on its back panel for unlocking the phone.

Under the hood, there is an octa-core Snapdragon 660 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM / 64GB of internal storage. Users can further expand its storage using a microSD card. As for software, it runs the latest Android 9.0 Pie with Vivo’s FuntouchOS 9.0 on top along with many gaming features like System Turbo or Game Turbo to allow more efficient resource allocation where users need the most.
