Vivo Y91i Unveiled In India With Dewdrop Notch & 4,030mAh Battery

As similar to previous rumors, the Chinese phone maker, Vivo has released the Vivo Y91i in the Indian market. Though the phone launch has been not announced in a recent press release, Mahesh Telecom has recently unveiled the device’s price tag on Twitter. Accordingly, the handset is priced at Rs. 7,990 in India. Let’s take a look at the price, specifications, and features of this latest Vivo smartphone.

Vivo Y91i: Price in India

According to MaheshTelecome’s tweet, the Vivo Y91i variant with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage and the one with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage have respective prices of Rs. 7,990 and Rs. 8,490 in India. With these prices, the Vivo Y91i become one of Vivo smartphones with the lowest price in this country. Currently, the phone is available in 3 color options including Blue, Red, and Black.

Regarding the specifications, Vivo has already announced the official specifications of the Y91i in some select regions. It is known that the Vivo Y81i launched last year is the predecessor of this device. And the Vivo Y91i is also considered as the Vivo Y91’s affordable version.

Vivo Y91i: Features, Specifications

The smartphone sports a 6.22-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution as well as a nearly real bezel-less design, and a dewdrop notch housing a selfie camera on the top. It is worth mentioning that the display does not have any protective layer, so users have to buy a protector to protect the screen from scratches and drops. Additionally, the handset has a premium appearance thanks to the Glass gradient rear panel.

As for the hardware department, the smartphone comes with a Snapdragon 439 SoC paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB/32GB internal storage. Regarding the software segment, the device runs on FunTouch OS 4.5 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. Additionally, the Vivo Y91i is equipped with a dual camera setup on the back including a 13MP sensor with an f/2.2 lens and a 2MP sensor with an f/2.4 lens. The smartphone also has an 8MP front-facing camera which supports Face Unlock.

Powering the device is a battery with a capacity of 4,030mAh. The device’s connectivity options comprise of Bluetooth v4.2, GPS (with BeiDou and GLONASS), 3.5mm headphone jack, micro-USB port, Wifi b/g/n, 4G LTE with VoLTE, and dual-SIM slot.
