Vivo Y17 With Triple Rear Cameras & 5,000mAh Battery Launched In India

Vivo just quietly announced a new offering in the Indian market called Vivo Y17 with a triple rear camera setup and a massive 5,000mAh battery.

The Chinese company Vivo has just silently launched the Vivo Y17 in the Indian market. The handset is officially listed on the Vivo website in India. The key highlights of this handset include a water-drop notched display, an octa-core MTK Helio P35 SoC, AI triple camera setup on the rear, and a massive 5,000mAh cell with support for fast charging.

You can now buy the phone at many offline retailers in the country. The phone comes in two colour variants which are Mystic Purple and Mineral Blue. Vivo only offers a single memory configuration for the Vivo Y17 with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for an Rs. 17,990 price tag.
Vivo Y17: Specs & Features
The handset sports a tall 6.5-inch LCD HD+ screen with 1,544 x 720p resolution and a 19.3:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by an octa-core MTK Helio P35 chipset built on the 12nm process, paired with 4GB of RAM / 128GB of storage but there might be more options in the future.
In terms of camera, the phone features a triple camera setup which is probably its biggest selling point. The setup includes a 13MP primary camera with f/2.2 aperture, an 8MP wide-angle shooter with f/2.2 aperture, and a third 2MP depth unit. Vivo said that the AI Super Wide-Angle Camera has a 120-degree field of vision. However, after accounting for distortion, it can only capture 108 degrees. Up front, there is a 20MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.0.
Other notable features include a massive 5,000mAh cell with support for 18W Dual-Engine fast charging and Android 9 Pie-based FunTouch OS 9.0. It is the first phone from the brand to come with that monstrous battery. In order to improve its gaming performance, the company decides to equip it with Ultra Game Mode that can allocate the system resources. Lastly, the handset comes with a fingerprint scanner on the rear along with gradient finish at its back.
