Vivo Y15 To Be Priced At Rs. 14,990 In India; Vivo Y91 3GB RAM Model On The Way

We have previously reported that the Chinese phone maker Vivo is planning to bring a new smartphone in the mid-range segment called Vivo Y15 in the Indian market. We believe that the phone will come with a price of below Rs. 15,000. Now, the exact price of the forthcoming Vivo Y15 has been tipped by an executive at Vivo India. He said that the handset will be priced at Rs. 14,990 in India. In addition, the company is also planning to offer a new option of the Vivo Y91 that launched in January this year.

The Vivo India executive doesn’t reveal the exact features and availability of the upcoming Vivo phone. However, the phone was previously tipped to come with triple cameras on the rear. We also believe that the phone will go on sale in India via major retail stores sometime this month.

Moving to the new option of the Vivo Y91, it will come with 3GB RAM + 32GB of internal storage. This new variant will set you back by Rs. 9,990 and you can get it in many stores across the country. To recall, the handset was first released in January this year in a sole variant with 2GB of RAM + 32GB of storage. It was originally priced at Rs. 10,990, but the price is now slashed by Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 8,990.

Beside getting 1GB extra RAM, this new model of the Vivo Y91 packs the same set of specs as the original model. The handset sports a 6.22-inch HD+ Full-View panel with 1,520 x 720p resolution. Powering the phone is an MTK Helio P22 octa-core processor paired with 2/3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It ships with Android 8.1 Oreo-based FunTouch 4.5.

In terms of camera, the Vivo Y91 features a dual rear camera setup, including a 13MP f/2.2 primary camera and 2MP f/2.4 secondary camera. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera with f/1.8 lens. Finally, the Vivo Y91 is fueled by a 4,030 mAh battery and comes with a fingerprint scanner on the rear for biometric authentication.
