It seems like Vivo and Oppo have been trying really hard to embrace the pop-up selfie camera design lately. Both of these phone makers have been announcing a few smartphones with the design in the last couple of months. Vivo launched the Vivo V15 Pro in the Indian market with a 32MP pop-up selfie camera at the end of February. Oppo quickly followed by launching the Oppo F11 Pro early this month. And now, Vivo is again ahead of Oppo with two new additions in its mobile portfolio again with a pop-up selfie camera in China. They are called Vivo X27 and Vivo X27 Pro.

Vivo X27, X27 Pro: Specifications & Features
Let’s start with the Vivo X27. It comes in two different models, packing either the Snapdragon 675 chipset or Snapdragon 710 SoC. The cheaper model with the Snapdragon 675 SoC will have 8GB of RAM/128GB of storage while the more expensive version with the Snapdragon 710 SoC will come with 8GB of RAM/256GB of storage. They will both run Vivo’s FunTouch 9.0 which is based on the latest Android 9 Pie.
In the imaging department, the handset sports a triple camera system on the rear, including a 48MP main sensor, a 13MP secondary ultra-wide angle camera, and a 5MP third sensor for depth sensing. Up front, there is a 16MP pop-up front camera for taking selfies and video calling. The handset has a lot of camera features, including a super backlight mode, a 2.5cm super macro mode, a beauty mode, super night scene mode, and even celebrity filters.

As for security, it comes with an on-screen fingerprint scanner. Powering the phone is a 4,000mAh cell with 22.5W Flash Charge fast charging support.
Moving to the Vivo X27 Pro, it packs a massive 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a 2,340 x 1,080p resolution. Thanks to the pop-up selfie camera, the phone can achieve an impressive screen-to-body ratio of 92.12. Powering the phone will be the Snapdragon 710 chipset paired with 8GB RAM/256GB of storage. It also runs Vivo’s FunTouch 9.0 that is based on the latest Android 9 Pie.
Similar to the Vivo X27, the Pro version also boasts a triple camera setup, including a 48MP Sony IMX 586 main sensor, a 13MP secondary ultra-wide angle camera, and a 5MP third depth sensor. Same as the X27, it also comes with a pop-up selfie camera as well. But it comes with a 32MP shooter instead of the 16MP on the X27. Additionally, the one on the X27 is slightly slower as it needs 0.68 seconds to extend in comparison with 0.46s on the Vivo V15 Pro.

As for security, it also features a fingerprint sensor embedded in the display. Powering the phone is a 4,000mAh cell with the same 22.5W Flash Charge fast charging support.
