Samsung Galaxy S10 5G With 6.7-Inch QHD+ Display, Four Rear Cameras, 4,500mAh Battery Launched

Samsung just announced its first device with 5G support under the name Galaxy S10 5G, packing a Snapdragon 855 SoC, 4,500mAh battery, and quad rear cameras.

There are many devices in Samsung’s Unpacked Event, from Samsung’s 10th Galaxy S flagship series and Galaxy Fold, but also the company’s first 5G phone. Launched under the name Galaxy S10 5G, the device is packed with more powerful hardware specs compared to the Galaxy S10+. However, the highlight of the phone is still its 5G support.

Galaxy S10 5G: Specifications & Features

The Galaxy S10 5G is the company’s biggest flagship phone with a large 6.7-inch display (excluding the Galaxy Fold). The display is a QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED panel with a 19:9 aspect ratio. While the standard Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ both sport a triple camera setup on the rear, the Galaxy S10 5G features a quad camera system. Coupled with a 12MP main sensor with dual apertures are a 12MP telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom support, a 16MP camera with an ultra-wide lens, and a 3D depth sensor. On the front, the phone has dual selfie cameras, including a 10MP sensor along with a 3D camera for depth sensing.

In the hardware department, the Galaxy S10 5G is pretty similar to other models with some differences. Varied between markets, the phone will pack either a Samsung’s Exynos 9820 chipset or a 7nm Snapdragon 855 SoC, coupled with 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. On the side of software, the handset One UI which is based on Android 9 Pie. With the fact that 5G could drain the battery faster, the Galaxy S10 5G is backed by a large 4,500 mAh battery with 25W fast charging support.

For connectivity, the 5G version only supports one SIM with support for 5G network. It also has some common connectivity options, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, GPS, and Bluetooth 5.0

Galaxy S10 5G: Price

While the prices and availability of the Galaxy S10 lineup have already been revealed by Samsung, it remains silent about those of the Galaxy S10 5G. However, the company announced its carrier partners, including Verizon, Sprint, and Vodafone. Obviously, Samsung will only launch the phone in the countries that roll out 5G such as China, the US, the UK, and South Korea. Don’t expect too much on the Galaxy S10 5G launch in India as 5G network is not likely to come in the country this year.
