After many leaks and rumors about the Galaxy M series, the South Korean phone maker Samsung finally unveiled the Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 in the Indian market. These two handsets have been getting quite a lot of attention even before as they feature not only the Samsung’s Infinity-V display, but also a brand new phone series of the company that is tipped to replace the existing Galaxy On and Galaxy J budget smartphone series in the country. Samsung Galaxy M10 vs. Galaxy M20: Main differences
You can tell by the name that the Galaxy M20 should have better features and a better phone compared to the Galaxy M10. These two phones are the first to come with Samsung’s Infinity-V display. While the Galaxy M10 sports a 6.22-inch HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9, the Galaxy M20 packs a slightly larger 6.3-inch Full-HD+ display.
In the hardware department, there are also significant differences between the two phones. The Galaxy M10 is powered by an Exynos 7870 SoC, coupled with 2GB/3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB storage. Meanwhile, the Galaxy M20 is powered by a more powerful Exynos 7904 SoC, coupled with 3GB RAM/32GB storage or 4GB RAM/64GB storage.
In terms of camera, the Galaxy M10 sports a 5MP selfie camera on the teardrop notch, while it is an 8MP sensor in the notch on the Galaxy M20. Moreover, the M10 only comes with the Face ID feature. In contrast, the M20 also features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor as well.

The battery is another significant difference between them. The Galaxy M20 is packed with a massive 5,000 mAh battery while the Galaxy M10 is backed by a 3,400 mAh battery.
Samsung Galaxy M10 vs Galaxy M20: Similarities
As these two phones both fall in the budget phone segment, there are still similarities between them. The most significant similarity is that they both run Experience UI 9.5 which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo. Moreover, they also sport a similar camera system on the rear, comprising of a 13MP main sensor with an aperture of f/1.9, and a 5MP ultra-wide angle sensor with an aperture of f/2.2. Buyers can both expand the storage on both phones up to 512GB via a microSD slot. Lastly, they both come in two color options, which are Charcoal Black and Ocean Blue.
Verdicts:
It is clear that with a price starting from Rs. 7,990, the Galaxy M10 is short of some features compared to the Galaxy M20 with a starting price of Rs. 10,990. If you are looking for a phone that offers a massive battery life, sharper display, and better front camera, you clearly should pick the Galaxy M20. However, if your budget is a bit limited, then don’t hesitate to choose the Galaxy M10.
