The Samsung Galaxy M02 India launch will officially take place on February 2nd, according to an Amazon listing. The listing also reveals some key specs of the phone, including a 6.5-inch Infinity-V HD+ display with a dewdrop notch for a selfie camera, dual rear cameras, and a 5,000mAh battery. In addition, the Samsung Galaxy M02 price in India is revealed to be below Rs. 7,000. With this price tag, this will be one of the most affordable smartphones from Samsung and the second model from the brand to be positioned in the sub-Rs. 10,000 price point.
Samsung Galaxy M02: Specifications & Features (expected)
As mentioned, the Galaxy M02 specs include a 6.5-inch Infinity-V display with HD+ resolution and a water-drop notch at the top. Powering the handset could be the Snapdragon 450 chipset, which is a bit outdated. The chipset will reportedly be paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. As teased on the Amazon listing, the M02 will pack a beefy 5,000 mAh battery. With such an affordable price tag, we doubt Samsung will offer any sort of fast charging technology on this phone.
Software-wise, it will likely run on Android 10 out of the box, paired with Samsung’s One UI custom skin. Connectivity features might include dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, single-band Wi-Fi, USB-C port, and GPS. For photography, we expect to see a dual-camera lens setup at the back of this phone, consisting of a 13MP main sensor and a 2MP lens (probably for portrait shots). On the front, its selfie camera will likely have a 5MP resolution.
With the launch date being only a few days away, we believe that the company will reveal more details very soon.
