In November, Samsung announced details about a unique screen with a hole for the camera. Not only Samsung but many other carriers are also aiming for a hole in the screen in upcoming products such as Huawei and Apple. Galaxy A8s will be the first screen to hit the market with the Infinity-O screen in the world, according to Samsung. But at that time, the Korean phone maker has not given a specific date for this launch, Huawei has said it will introduce a handset with a similar design called Nova 4 on December 17.
Today, Samsung said the Galaxy A8s will be on December 10 this year. This information is published from an official Samsung account in China. It sounds a bit strange because it announced in China instead of Korea, but this is a Samsung's account so it should be accurate.

The purpose of the date arrangement earlier than Huawei was probably from an earlier experience. When Samsung came up with the idea of a smartphone with a foldable touch screen, then a lesser-known technology company Royole China revealed the foldable smartphone before it hit the market. This time, Samsung did not want to repeat that.
Samsung Galaxy A8s will be the first to feature the possibly upcoming display trend, Infinity - O. In the future, many phone companies will follow this trend as the notch is gradually abandoned. The Federal Communications Commission in the US also said it would also be launched in the United States.

About the configuration of the Galaxy A8s, it has a 6.3-inch Full HD screen combined with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. Galaxy A8s is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 710 SoC processor.
As same as the Galaxy A7, the smartphone also has a cluster of 3 cameras including a 24MP main sensor, a 10MP sensor, and a 5MP sensor. In particular, the 24MP front-facing camera will locate in the front hole of the screen.
