Samsung just introduced a new variant of the Samsung Galaxy A8s in the Chinese market under the name of Galaxy A8s FE which is planned to come out in the Valentine Day in February. As the phone will be launched in Valentine Day, the FE in Galaxy A8s FE should stand for Female Edition. It should be the same as the regular Galaxy A8s but will come in a new gold and pink gradient color variant. If the FE is indeed female edition, it should be clear which types of customer Samsung is trying to target with this new model.

The Galaxy A8s will be up for sale in the Chinese market on 14 February but Samsung hasn’t revealed the pricing of this handset, according to leakster MMDDJ on his Twitter page. To recall, the Samsung Galaxy A8s was the first Samsung’s phone to come with the company's new Infinity-O design in which there is a small hole on the screen to house a selfie camera.
The phone is expected to sport a 6.4-inch FHD+ display with a hole-punch design to accommodate the front camera. It will come packed with a Snapdragon 710 SoC along with up to 8GB RAM as well as 128GB storage. On the rear, it will feature a triple rear camera system, including a 24MP main sensor, a 10MP telephoto sensor with support for 2x optical zoom and a 5MP sensor for depth sensing. On the front, there will be a 24MP selfie camera.
For software, the Galaxy A8s will run Android 8.1 Oreo and come with a 3,400 mAh battery and a USB-C port. There will be a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner to unlock the phone. For now, it is confirmed that the phone will launch in China, but it should also come to Samsung’s home country soon.
