On April 30, Samsung spoke out to protect its new smartphone model – Galaxy S10 5G after a user in South Korea uploaded many pictures of his burnt smartphone.
Three years ago, the tech company came under fire when the Galaxy Note 7 handsets kept exploding because of battery faults. That’s why in an interview with AFP, Samsung blamed an “external impact” for the Galaxy S10 5G incident, instead of an internal issue.
However, the owner whose surname was Lee revealed that his smartphone had charred without any reason. He said to AFP,
Lee confirmed that “everything inside was burnt” and he couldn’t do anything to recover the phone. The notable thing was that he didn’t get any reimburse from the Seoul-based tech company. In other words, he wasted $1,200 on buying and using a smartphone within a few days.
In recent times, Samsung has introduced its Galaxy models that are known as the first 5G smartphones in the world. While South Korea hopes to take the first position in the race of modern technologies, the Galaxy S10 5G came to the public on April 5. As per the fifth generation communication, experts believe it will change how we live in the future.
On April 30, Samsung reported that its net profits in 2019 have dropped 56.9% compared to the figure in the same period of 2018. The bad news came while the competition in the smartphone market has become more and more severe. Along with it, the chip market also faces a lot of difficulties.
A few days ago, the company had to postpone the rollout of the Galaxy Fold – a foldable smartphone that is worth $2,000 – due to some screen issues. In fact, Samsung just claimed that its new foldable phone “needs further improvements.”
