Realme 3 Pro has made its way to India last month. The handset sports a 6.3-inch Full-HD+ display and dual rear cameras. It boots Oppo’s ColorOS v6.0 which is based on Android 9 Pie. in addition, the Realme 3 Pro also sports some camera features like Nightscape mode which is said to utilize AI with anti-shake and multi-frame algorithm to improve the phone’s low-light photography.

The price of the Redmi Note 7 Pro variants is the same as the Realme counterpart. While the 4GB of RAM / 64GB of storage is priced at Rs. 13,999, the 6GB of RAM / 128GB of storage is set at Rs. 16,999. There are three available color variants, including Neptune Blue, Space Black, and Nebula Red.

The Realme phone has a 6.3-inch FHD+ IPS panel with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9, 2.5D curved glass with Gorilla Glass 5, and 2,340 x 1,080p resolution. On the other hand, the Redmi smartphone sports with the same 6.3-inch FHD+ IPS panel with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and Gorilla Glass 5.
Powering the Realme offering is the mid-range Snapdragon 710 octa-core processor, paired with 4/6GB RAM. Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 7 Pro is driven by a mid-range Snapdragon 675 octa-core processor, coupled with 4/6GB of RAM. Both of the Realme and Redmi handsets come with 64GB or 128GB of storage which is expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card.
For security, both of them feature a fingerprint scanner on the rear and support Face Unlock feature. For software, the Realme 3 Pro ships with ColorOS v6.0 which is based on Android 9.0 Pie. The Redmi Note 7 Pro also boots Android 9 Pie, but with Xiaomi’s MIUI 10 on top.

The Realme 3 Pro features a dual camera setup, including a 16MP main Sony IMX 519 sensor with f/1.7 aperture and a 5MP sensor with f/2.4 aperture. As for the Redmi Note 7 Pro, it has a better camera setup on the rear with a 48MP Sony IMX 586 sensor with f/1.79 aperture and a 5MP depth sensor.

On the front, there is a 25MP selfie camera on the Realme 3 Pro with f/2.0 aperture while Redmi equips its Redmi Note 7 Pro with a 13MP selfie shooter on the front. On paper, the Realme phone should deliver better selfie photos compared to its Redmi counterpart.
Moving to the battery department, the Realme handset is powered by a beefy 4,045 mAh battery with Oppo’s VOOC 3.0 fast charging support while the Redmi Note 7 Pro is fueled by a large 4,000 mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0 support.
Both of the phones have a large battery with hardly any difference in battery capacity. They are also both recharged very quickly with fast charging support.

The Realme 3 Pro and Redmi Note 7 Pro share a lot of similarities in many aspects. They are offered in the same price and the same memory configurations. The Snapdragon 675 SoC on the Redmi offering is on par with the Snapdragon 710 SoC on the Realme handset.
In terms of camera, the Redmi Note 7 Pro has a better camera setup, but its selfie camera is not as good as Realme device.
