As you may already know, Nubia’s General Manager Ni Fei just confirmed on his Weibo post that the Chinese phone maker Nubia will announce its gaming-centric Nubia Red Magic 3 at an event on 28 April in China.
For now, the Chinese company has not revealed many details about the design of the upcoming handset. However, new live images of the gaming phone have just surfaced online, giving a good look at what the phone will look like. The photos are masked in a protective casing, and they only show us the rear panel of the upcoming device. If these photos are to be believed, there will not be a significant difference between the Red Magic 3 and its predecessor Red Magic Mars.
The photos show that the upcoming Red Magic 3 will still have a LED light strip at its rear back panel. A fingerprint scanner is also spotted on the back along with a single camera which has a different placement compared to the Red Magic Mars. Instead of having a hexagonal camera module, it comes with a Pentagon-shaped one.
According to previous leaks, the handset will likely be powered by a Snapdragon 855 chipset paired with up to 12GB RAM and probably up to 256GB storage as well. As it is a gaming-centric phone, Nubia will most likely equip it with some sorts of internal cooling system to keep the temperature under control during heavy gaming sessions, and its predecessor comes with a vapor chamber. According to previous official teasers, it was hinted to have a massive 5,000mAh cell with support for 30W fast charging tech.
Up front, it is said to have a display with a higher refresh rate compared to most of the gaming PCs which might be 120Hz refresh rate or higher. As the launch date is only less than a week away, there should be more details of the phone coming out.
