Oppo R15 Pro With 19:9 Display, Snapdragon 660 SoC, AI-Powered Camera Features Launched

The Oppo R15 Pro with 19:9 Full-HD+ display, the Snapdragon 660 SoC and AI-powered camera features has been launched in the Indian market.

Oppo has just released the Oppo R15 in the Indian market. This new phone packs a Full-HD display with an aspect ratio of 19:9, a screen-to-body ratio of 89% and a dual camera system on the rear, one of which is a Sony IMX519 sensor. The phone also comes with AI-powered features and support for Oppo’s VOOC Flash Charge tech. The Oppo R15 Pro is a global model of the Oppo R15 Dream Mirror Edition that launched in the Chinese market last year. The handset features a glass back finish with gradient color options. The new Oppo phone also has support for NFC wireless payment.

As mentioned, the camera setup of the handset is supported by AI-powered features, including AI Scene Recognition and Artistic Portrait Mode. Oppo also offers AI Beauty Tech 2.0 feature that allows the phone to analyze users regarding age, gender, skin texture, skin color, face shape and more to enhance the selfies accordingly.

Besides camera features, the phone also comes packed with a Game Acceleration Mod that is claimed to allows the phone to automatically adjust its resources to improve users’ gaming experience.

The Oppo handset runs Android 8.1-based ColorOS 5.0 and sports a 6.28-inch FHD+ OLED display with a resolution of 2,280 x 1,080 pixels resolution and an aspect ratio of 19:9. It is powered by a Snapdragon 660 processor along with 6GB RAM and Adreno 512 GPU.

On the back, the phone comes with a dual camera setup, including a 20MP main sensor with an aperture of f/1.7 and a 16MP secondary sensor with an aperture of f/2.0. On the front, there is a 20MP sensor with an aperture of f/1.7.

The Oppo R15 Pro comes in an option with 128GB of expandable storage up to 256GB via microSD slot. The phone’s connectivity options include Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth v5.0, NFC, micro USB, an audio jack and GPS/A-GPS.

The phone also comes with Oppo’s VOOC Flash Charge technology that is touted to charge certain devices from 0 to 75 percent in just 30 minutes.

The Oppo R15 Pro comes in a single variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage in the Indian market at a price of Rs. 25,990. The phone is offered exclusively in Amazon India in Ruby Red and Cosmic Purple color options.
