OPPO A92s Revealed On TENAA With Powerful Specs For Affordable Price

The OPPO A92s could be the world's first phone to come with a Dimension 800 5G chipset, along with up to 12GB RAM, quad rear cameras, and dual selfie cameras.

Earlier this week, OPPO released the OPPO Reno Ace 2 in China. Now, it seems like another mid-range smartphone is in the works and will be called OPPO A92s. The price and key specs of the phone were revealed in recent leaks. Now, the handset has stopped by China’s TENAA in the model number PDKM00.

The handset is revealed to go on sales in multiple memory configurations with 6/8/12GB of RAM and 128/256GB of storage while a previous report claimed that its 8GB RAM + 127GB of storage model could be priced at CNY 2,499 (around Rs. 27,100).

The device measures 163.8x75.5x8.1 mm and weigh 184g. As you can see on the TENAA photos below, the OPPO A92S will have dual selfie cameras housed inside a pill-shaped punch-hole at the top left corner of a 6.57-inch IPS LCD panel. The display is said to support FHD+ (2,400 x 1,080p) resolution and a tall 20:9 aspect ratio. In addition, previous reports claimed that the handset will be the first OPPO phone in its A-series to have a 120Hz display.

At the back, you can clearly see a square camera module that houses four sensors and a LED flash in the center. The four sensors are a 48MP primary unit, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and two 2MP sensors (possibly a depth sensor and a macro camera). For selfies, the punch-hole on the front is where a 16MP main sensor and a 2MP depth sensor are located.

Powering the phone is an octa-core chipset clocked at 2.0GHz. The TENAA listing doesn’t reveal the exact identity of this chipset, but its Geekbench listing hints at the Dimensity 800 5G SoC. If that is the case, the OPPO A92S could very well be the first phone in the world to feature the chipset. Under the hood, it is said to pack a beefy battery with a rated capacity of 4,889mAh. Even though there is no word about its fast charging technology, we believe it should have one. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, Android 10, and a microSD card slot.
