The most recent additions in the smartphone market are Vivo Next Dual Display Edition with two displays, as suggested by its name and OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition with 10GB RAM. OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition vs. Vivo NEX Dual Display Edition vs. Lenovo Z5 Pro GT: Price

The OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition is currently the only handset available in the Indian market. So we have to base on the price of those two devices in the Chinese market. The OnePlus 6T limited edition model with 10GB of RAM/256GB of storage is priced at Rs. 50,999 and Rs. 45,999 for the model with 8GB of RAM/256GB of storage in India.

We will conduct the comparison of these three handsets based on their top-end models.

OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition vs. Vivo NEX Dual Display Edition vs. Lenovo Z5 Pro GT: Software, Performance.

OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition

The OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition packs a Snapdragon 845 SoC with 10GB RAM/256GB storage and runs Oxygen OS based on the latest Android 9 Pie. The Vivo Nex Dual Display Edition is powered by the same process as the OnePlus device, a Snapdragon 845 SoC, along with 10GB RAM/128GB storage and Funtouch OS 4.5 based on the latest Android 9 Pie.

Vivo Nex Dual Display Edition

Different from the OnePlus and Vivo handsets, the Lenovo Z5 Pro GT sports the latest Snapdragon 855 processor which is claimed by Qualcomm to offer a very powerful performance compared to other chipsets in its 800-series. The device also packs a higher 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. In the software department, the Lenovo smartphone runs ZUI 10.0 based on the latest Android 9 Pie as well.

It should be pretty easy to spot which device has the best specs, the Lenovo Z5 Pro GT with 12GB RAM and the powerful Snapdragon 855 SoC. In the software aspect, we believe that the OnePlus’s Oxygen OS is better than the Vivo’s FunTouch OS and Lenovo’ ZUI.

Lenovo Z5 Pro GT vs Vivo NEX Dual Display Edition vs OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition: Battery, Camera

Moving on to the camera aspect, the OnePlus McLaren Edition features a dual camera on the rear with a 16MP and 20MP sensors as well as a dual LED flash and many features. The phone will also have a 16MP f2.0 front camera. The OnePlus handset will be powered by a 3,700 mAh battery and support 30W Warp Charge tech which OnePlus claims to allow the device to charge from 0 to 50 in only 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, the Vivo Nex Dual Display Edition sports a triple rear camera system, including a 12MP main sensor, a 2MP secondary sensor and a Time-of-flight 3D stereo third sensor. The phone doesn’t have a front-facing camera as its camera on the rear also acts as both rear and front camera. The phone will be backed with a 3,500 mAh battery and 22.5W fast charging.

Finally, the Lenovo Z5 Pro GT comes with a 24MP and 16MP dual rear camera system with f.18 aperture and a dual-tone LED flash. The handset also has an 8MP and 16MP dual front camera setup with f2.2 aperture. Interestingly, the Lenovo device has a slider which accommodates the two front cameras and will pop up whenever it is needed. The Lenovo Z5 Pro GT will be powered by a 3,350 mAh battery.

Lenovo Z5 Pro GT

Again, we have to say that the Lenovo Z5 Pro wins this battle with better cameras and followed by the OnePlus handset. The Vivo smartphone is in the bottom as it has a less impressive camera setup compared to the other two.

OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition vs. Vivo NEX Dual Display Edition vs. Lenovo Z5 Pro GT: Display, Design

The final comparison will be display and design. The OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition comes with a 6.41-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display. In terms of design, this handset has a rear glass panel and a classy carbon fiber pattern under it. The phone’s bottom edge has the signature colour of McLaren, Papaya Orange. Hence, it would be an ideal phone for F1 fans.

The next device is the Vivo Nex Dual Display Edition that features the interesting dual-display design. The Vivo handset comes with two AMOLED panels on both its front and rear. It actually doesn’t have either a front-facing camera or display notch as its cameras can both capture photos in the front and back. On the front, it has a 6.39-inch Full-HD+ panel with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The back screen will be a 5.49-inch FullHD panel with a resolution of 1902 x 1080 pixels and 16:9 aspect ratio. The phone will also have an on-screen fingerprint scanner on the front.

Meanwhile, the Lenovo Z5 Pro GT sports a 6.39-inch FullHD+ Super AMOLED panel with 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The Lenovo device has a sturdy and sporty look with a carbon fiber finish in the Carbon Black color. The phone also looks pretty premium with a Red framing around its sides. The Lenovo handset also doesn’t have a notch display as it comes with a slider where the front camera and a system for Infrared Facial ID feature locate. Besides that, the device also offers an on-screen fingerprint scanner.

Lenovo Z5 Pro GT

All of these three smartphones come with innovative design elements. However, the Lenovo Z5 Pro GT has a more convincing display and design due to its price tag and durability. It seems the Vivo Nex dual Display Edition owners have to use a case cover if they don’t want its second display to be broken. The OnePlus 6T McLaren Editions surely has a stunning design, but it comes with a higher price tag.

Final Thoughts:

After comparing these three devices, we think that the Lenovo Z5 Pro GT has an edge over the other two due to its higher RAM, better and more powerful SoC, better camera system and also stunning design as well. The second place should be OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition while the Vivo Nex Dual Display is placed third as we doubt that its second display design is that useful for daily usage.

We also concern about is durability and also camera functionality. Being recently released, we can’t really put out any conclusion on the Vivo device yet, so it is better to see the phone performance in the real world conditions.
