Nubia's general manager Ni Fei has just confirmed the six key features of the upcoming Red Magic 3, one of which is the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 855 SoC.

Gaming smartphone segment have been growing at a fast pace and a lot of Android phone makers are focusing more on making gaming-centric phones. Nubia is a well-known brand in the gaming smartphone segment with the Red Magic series and the next series is said to come soon. Nubia’s general manager Ni Fei in his Weibo post confirmed six major features of the forthcoming Red Magic 3.

The Red Magic 3 will be powered by the Snapdragon 855 SoC paired with 12GB of RAM. Secondly, it will have a combined air and liquid cooled system to keep the temperature under control especially during long and stressful gaming sessions. It is the first to feature such system, but we have to wait and see if the system is useful or not.

As for  the display, it is tipped to come with a higher refresh rate even compared to most of the gaming PCs and a special eye-protecting feature, competing directly against the gaming-centric Razer Phone 2 which features 120Hz refresh rate.

The battery capacity on this new phone will be higher than the 3,800mAh batteries on other Red Magic phones. Lastly, to enhance the gaming experience, Nubia offers DTS 7.1 3D Surround Sound and a new 4D shock vibration motor. That is all revealed by Fei, but there are rumors suggesting that the phone will have a dual rear camera system and RGB LED lights on its back panel.

Additionally, the Chinese phone maker has finalized a big investment on marketing in the smartphone market for this year as a part of the company’s restart.  Fei also hinted that the company is planning to release a new gaming-centric phone in the Indian market to compete with ROG and OnePlus next month which will likely be followed by the Nubia Alpha launch. Both of these handsets are expected to be offered for a price tag from Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 40,000.
