Nokia Smartphones In India Get Three Insurance Plans

Nokia licensee HMD Global is working with Servify to launch three insurance plans for Nokia smartphones in India, including 1 type extended to 365 days.

On Thursday, HMD Global, a Nokia licensee, announced that it would collaborate with Servify and offer insurance for Nokia smartphones in India. The insurance service that HMD is offering starts from Rs 399, which will be applied for risks over and above a standard warranty’s purview. The company introduced three kinds of insurance scheme, all of them cover the phones for one year.

The first released insurance protects Nokia phones from liquid damages and accidents. The second type provides protection for phone screens. However, these insurances can only be used within 15 days after the phones are bought. The third type is extended to 365 days after the phones are bought.

About Nokia’s insurance plan powered by Servify, HMD India Country Head and Vice President Ajey Mehta said that Nokia is a reliable, trustworthy brand, and HMD is going to put an even stronger claim on that by working with Servify. This partnership will bring Nokia budget phones complete insurance and extended warranty schemes. The plans have been announced around India and will surely help Nokia fans take good care of their phones as well as protect their investments well.

Furthermore, Servify Founder Sreevathsa expressed his happiness to set a partnership with HMD Global in this Nokia insurance and extended warranty scheme launch. He also promised to try their best to bring about the simplest and most transparent experience to Nokia smartphone users by making the best use of their after-sales system.
HMD Global is a Finnish cell phone firm that made up of the phone company which Nokia sold to Microsoft in 2014, then bought back in 2016. HMD started selling feature phones and smartphones under the Nokia brand in December 2016.
