Nokia 5.3 Announced With Quad Rear Cameras; Priced Starts At Rs. 15,000

Apart from the high-end Nokia 8.3 5G smartphone, HMD Global also releases a few more devices, including Nokia 1.3, Nokia 5.3, and the iconic Nokia 5310. While the other two are in the low-end segment, the Nokia 5.3 is a mid-range phone that is equipped with a quad-camera cluster and a dewdrop notch 6.55-inch display. Other highlights of this phone include Snapdragon 665 SoC, 6GB RAM, and 4,000mAh battery.
Nokia 5.3: Price & Availability
The Nokia 5.3 price is 189 EURO (roughly Rs. 15,000) and it will go on sale from 2nd May in three color variants, Green, Black, and Gold. With this price, it will take on the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Realme 6, both of which were released in India recently.
HMD Global is yet to reveal the Nokia 5.3 launch date in India.
Nokia 5.3: Specifications & Features
There is a 6.55-inch IPS LCD panel on the front of the phone. It supports HD+ resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a Snapdragon 665 octa-core chipset at the helm. The phone will be available in three memory configurations, including 3GB RAM + 64GB storage, 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM + 64GB storage. You can still expand its storage using a microSD card via a card slot.

Around the back, you can easily see a quad-camera lens cluster housed in a circular hump. The setup comprises a 13MP main sensor with an f/1.8 lens, a 5MP ultra-wide shooter, a 2MP macro for macro shots, and a 2MP camera for portrait shots. On the front, the water-drop notch houses a single 8MP camera with an f/2.0 lens for selfies.
Fueling the smartphone is a decent 4,000 mAh battery, but it only supports the standard 10W charging rate. However, HMD Global claims that the phone will be able to last two full days so users won’t have to spend too much time charging it. Finally, the device runs on stock Android 10 at launch and get at least three years of Android updates.
