Nokia 5.3 Finally Hits India, At ₹13,999, Offers Decent Specs & Features

Five months after its first debut in March, Nokia 5.3 finally hits India. The device was released alongside the Nokia 8.3 5G, which is still not available in India yet. It comes with a glass back with a matt finish, a quad-camera cluster, and a Snapdragon 665 SoC. Overall, this new mid-range smartphone from Nokia is decent, but a bit outdated when Redmi and Realme have recently released a new bunch of phones with better specs.
Nokia 5.3: Price in India & Availability
The Nokia 5.3 price in India is Rs. 13,999 for the entry-level option with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. You can get the 6GB RAM model for a price of Rs. 15,499. Charcoal, Sand, and Cyan are three color variants for the phone and it will go on sales from 1st September, or you can pre-order it from today on Amazon India or Nokia.com/phones.
Jio customers can get up to Rs. 4,000 benefits on the Rs. 349 plan, including Rs. 2,000 worth vouchers from partners and Rs. 2,000 instant cashback.
Nokia 5.3: Specifications & Features
There is a 6.55-inch IPS LCD panel on the front of the phone. It supports HD+ resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a Snapdragon 665 octa-core chipset at the helm. The phone will be available in three memory configurations, including 3GB RAM + 64GB storage, 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM + 64GB storage. You can still expand its storage using a microSD card via a card slot.
Around the back, you can easily see a quad-camera lens cluster housed in a circular hump. The setup comprises a 13MP main sensor with an f/1.8 lens, a 5MP ultra-wide shooter, a 2MP macro for macro shots, and a 2MP camera for portrait shots. On the front, the water-drop notch houses a single 8MP camera with an f/2.0 lens for selfies.
Fueling the smartphone is a decently-large 4,000 mAh battery, but it only supports the standard 10W charging rate. However, HMD Global claims that the phone will be able to last two full days so users won’t have to spend too much time charging it. Finally, the device runs on stock Android 10 at launch and get at least three years of Android updates.
