In September 2019, Xiaomi decided to play big when it launched the Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha concept smartphone with a flexible screen nearly covering the entire body of the phone. This is considered a novel solution for the trend of dual-screen smartphones without having to switch to the clamshell design, folding screen as some manufacturers are applying today.
However, after bombing with a series of renders and live videos, the Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha quickly sunk into oblivion and no one seemed to remember it anymore. After all, there are a lot of concept smartphones, which always bring bold and unique ideas. But from concept to actual product launch is a long process, and not always successful.

At the end of February 2020, nearly 6 months later, Mi Mix Alpha suddenly appeared in the flesh on YouTube channel Marques Brownlee, also known as MKBHD, a very famous reviewer with over 10 million subscribers. And this time, it's not just a concept smartphone anymore as Xiaomi's unique phone can now work well with some basic needs such as photography, watching videos, or surfing the web.

However, again, I have to remind you that the Mi Mix Alpha is still a completely new model and has not really been fully developed. Therefore, Xiaomi needs more time to test and fix issues related to the screen. Even though it appeared in a hands-on video by a famous reviewer, many people think that this is really just a display of technology to promote their brand. But recently, Xiaomi India has unexpectedly announced that it will soon launch this model at Mi Store in the near future, with a rumored selling price of up to Rs. 1,80,000.
