HTC has announced the arrival of the Exodus 1s, the next in line of the company’s blockchain smartphone lineup. This newer one will be more budget-friendly than the Exodus 1, which will set you back $699 when the company sells it in the kind of currency we can all use.
HTC did not say anything specific about the price here. All we know is the upcoming phone will be “a more value-oriented version.” it did not tell the public how it managed to keep the cost down either. Many people project that the company applies the same approach as what Google used with its Google Pixel 3a.
What the public find most noticeable here is the reasons behind the price slash. Here is what the company said:
What the company is after is obviously grand, but it is price-prohibitive letting users have access to blockchain technology. However, many experts said that this kind of tech would be the base for microtransaction in the future. The Exodus 1 was not exactly a great success, but it is the company’s first step after all.
Another thing the public pay attention to is the opening of the SDK for Zion Vault, which is the Trusted Execution Environment, a secure area inside the main processor, accompanying the Exodus 1. The company will bring it to GitHub.
