The Black Shark 3 series has been confirmed to go official on 3rd March in China. Getting closer to the launch date, the brand keeps teasing key specs and features of the handsets. Now, it is official that the series will include at least two models. Xiaomi’s co-founder and CEO Lei Jun said on his Weibo post that the Black Shark 3 Pro will come with a 5,000mAh battery while the vanilla model will have a 4,720 mAh unit.

Both of them will support 65W fast charging standard and Jun claims that it could charge the battery to 60 percent in just 15 minutes. Xiaomi CEO also reveals that the two phones will feature dual battery construction and he clarifies that the motherboard will be placed in the middle with two batteries surrounded on both sides.
In addition, the Black Shark 3 Pro will have a very interesting feature that many gamers would love. That is the magnetic charging port that allows users to charge the smartphone while playing games via a special connector. There is still a regular USB-C port if you want to fast charge the phone.

Both models in the upcoming Black Shark 3 series will still have a 3.5mm audio jack. According to previous leaks, the two phones were confirmed to flaunt 120Hz displays. Not just that, they will be powered by a Snapdragon 865 SoC and up to 16GB of RAM. For now, there is only one smartphone that has 16GB of RAM and that is the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra launched early this month. Anyway, the Black Shark 3 and Black Shark 3 Pro appear to be very solid gaming smartphones.
There should be more teasers about the features of the duo in the near future up to their 3rd March launch date.
