We do not know what exactly how Apple will name to its next iPhone models, such as iPhone 11 or iPhone XI, but we all expect the new phone to give us its best performance, especially impressive camera. Thanks to Ming-Chi Kuo, a famous analyst from Taiwan, the tech giant is improving the camera setup of the upcoming iPhone. The new iPhone models, which could be part of iPhone 11 series, may launch in September this year.
Kuo unveiled that Apple is going to add a third selfie camera which uses a 12MP sensor specially developed by Sony to the upcoming iPhone XS as well as XS Max. In addition, it’ll be paired with a wide-angle lens. Some Android smartphones have already come with such a wide-angle lens camera, including the Samsung Galaxy S10 and Huawei P30 Pro. Notably, all three upcoming iPhones will have the same 12-megapixel selfie camera. In term of display width, they will have similar sizes of 5.8 inches, 6.1-inches, and 6.5-inches.
The iPhone XR currently has a single lens camera on the rear. A note from Kuo showed that the 2019 iPhone XR may be named as iPhone XR2, and it would inherit the same dual-camera setup which is available on the current iPhone XS and XS Max models. Apple seems to be trying to design a lens coated with a black film on the front cameras in order to match the bezel’s color and look unnoticeable.
Apart from the camera details, iPhone 11 will certainly be powered by the A13 chipset and run on the iOS 13. The upcoming iPhone XS will use OLED panel for the screen while Apple will support LCD technology for the iPhone XR screen. After the global launch in September, the upcoming smartphones are expected to be available in India in one or two of weeks later.
