Xiaomi Teased To Launch Redmi 7 On The 24 April Event

Xiaomi has just teased to launch the Redmi 7 on the upcoming event on 24 April alongside the Redmi Y3.

The Chinese phone maker Xiaomi has just teased that it might launch the Redmi 7 along with the Redmi Y3 in the upcoming event on 24 April. In a recent tweet from Redmi India, it emphasized on the number ‘7’ and hinted at some surprises at the 24 April event.
While it is confirmed that the Redmi Y3 will be launched as a selfie-focused phone with a 32MP selfie snapper, the Redmi 7 is likely to fall in the budget segment. Moreover, Xiaomi hints at “a few” surprises which mean that we should expect a few more products introduced by the company at the upcoming event.
In China, the Redmi 7 is currently priced at CNY 699 (roughly Rs. 7,140) for the base option with 2GB of RAM/16GB of storage, and CNY 799 (around Rs. 8,160) for the variant with 4GB of RAM/64GB of storage. It comes in a total of three colour variants, including Red, Blue, and Black.
Redmi 7: Specs & Features
The Redmi 7 sports a 6.26-inch display with a HD+ (1,520 x 720p) resolution with a dewdrop notch on top. Powering the phone is a Snapdragon 632 processor paired with 2/3/4GB of RAM and 16/32/64GB of storage. As for software, it ships with the latest Android 9.0 Pie with Xiaomi’s MIUI 9.0 on top.
In the camera department, the handset comes with a dual camera setup, including a 12MP main shooter with an aperture of f/2.2 and a 2MP depth unit. Up front, there is a single 8MP camera with support for HDR. Keeping the phone running is a 4,000 mAh cell that supports 10W fast charging. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, a micro-USB 2.0 with support for OTG, and a headphone jack.
