Xiaomi Ships More Than 1.5 Million Xiaomi Mi 9 Smartphones

Xiaomi Mi 9 has shipped over 1.5 million units across the world. The handset made its debut in late February, therefore it hit this mark within around a month.

On April 1, Xiaomi had its share of April 1 trick after announcing 20 “new” devices. It is known that not all these devices are completely new. And while some devices are only newly launched in the Chinese market, others have their new prices. Additionally, Xiaomi said that the company has shipped more than 1.5 million the Mi 9 SE and Mi 9. And even Xiaomi published this new on 1 April, it is not a prank on the April Fool day. The company said:

Moreover, Xiaomi also organized another media meeting taking place in its General Staff Building on the same day. According to Wang Chuan, Xiaomi China’s President, on 29 March, these handsets achieved 1.5 million shipments. He said:

Lei Jun previously stated that the company would not “hunger marketing”.  Accor toding his statements, they were working hard for its production. And he hoped everybody could understand that Xiaomi always tried to make its customers a friend and they never deliberately hungered marketing.

Xiaomi is reported to continue to add to the Mi 9 lineup’s supply chain, which offers more people the chance to own this smartphone.

Xiaomi Mi 9: Specifications & Features

To recall, the Xiaomi Mi 9 sports a 6.39-inch AMOLED screen with the Gorilla Glass 9 protective layer. Under the hood, the phone is powered by a Snapdragon 855 SoC, paired with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. As for the software, the handset runs MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie.

And in terms of imaging capability, the phone has a triple rear camera setup including a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor, a 12MP telephoto sensor, and a 16MP ultra wide angle sensor. On the front, the Mi 9 smartphone features a 20MP camera for taking selfies. Besides, powering the phone is a battery with a capacity of 3,300mAh, supporting the 20W wireless fast charging solution.
