The Poco F1 is one of the most popular handset in India due to its powerful specifications and amazingly affordable price. Its successor, Xiaomi Poco F2, is a much-awaited high-end smartphone from Xiaomi's sub-brand Poco this year. The Poco F2 is expected to pack the latest Snapdragon 855 SoC and other powerful specifications just like its predecessor also with the most powerful Snapdragon 845 SoC at that time.

Now, the Poco F2 was listed on the benchmarking site Geekbench revealing some key specifications of the handset. According to the Geekbench listing, the next Poco phone achieved scores of 1,776 points and 6,097 points in the single-core and multi-core tests, respectively.

As shown on the listing, the Poco F1 will be powered by the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 855 SoC, paired with 4GB RAM and run the upcoming Android Q. However, the benchmark scores of the Poco F2 are actually quite disappointing.
In comparison with other high-end phones with the Snapdragon 855 SoC, the average benchmark score is over 3,000 points in the single-core test and over 10,000 points in the multi-core tests. Therefore, the performance of the Xiaomi Poco F2 is considerably low compared to other high-end smartphones with the same chipset.
However, it is strange that its predecessor Poco F1 already packs 6GB and 8GB of RAM while the Poco F2 is only tested with 4GB of RAM. It is fairly low amount of RAM for a high-end device as a lot of Android phones today have already come with 10 to 12GB of RAM. It is also worth noting that the Geekbench listing of the alleged Poco F1 was actually a fake one, so there is a possibility that this one is not the actual Poco F2 as well. Therefore, you should take these news with a grain of salt.
Last year, Xiaomi announced the Poco F1 in August with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. Not long after that, the company rolled out an Android 9 Pie update for the handset via its MIUI 10. Therefore, we believe that the Poco F2 will also come out around that time along with Android 9.0 Pie and update to Android Q to come soon after.
