Last month, the Chinese phone maker Xiaomi announced its new additions to its Xiaomi Mi series, the Xiaomi Mi 9 lineup, in the Chinese market. At the launch event, besides the two Xiaomi Mi 9 & Xiaomi Mi 9 Explorer Edition, Xiaomi also announced a more affordable model of the Mi 9, dubbed Xiaomi Mi 9 SE. This toned-down model is priced at CNY 1,999 (around Rs. 21,000).

Now, a fresh report cities Xiaomi CEO Lin Bin saying that there is a possibility that the Chinese phone maker decides to stop the Mi Se series and that means the Mi 9 SE will be the last Xiaomi Mi SE ever made. He also says that after the Mi 9 SE, the company will not make any more budget smartphone with a small display. Furthermore, he claimed that the expectation for the Mi 9 SE is higher than the actual sale figure that it got.
