After teasing the phone on Weibo, Xiaomi has now confirmed it will launch Mi CC9 Pro on November 5. The smartphone will focus mostly on camera and photography features. The proof is that Mi CC9 Pro will be equipped with up to 5 rear cameras, one of which is a 108MP sensor. This is the second smartphone in the world equipped with a 108MP camera, after Xiaomi's Mi MIX Alpha, but it may be the first commercial smartphone.

We have seen how smartphones with 64MP sensors can capture images with impressive levels of detail. However, the 108MP sensor will take everything to a whole new level. Xiaomi also teased the photo taken with the 108MP camera of Mi CC9 Pro to show us what that new level is like.

This is not exactly a full picture, but it is only 0.8% of the photo. Xiaomi cut a portion from the original image, focusing on the eye area so we can see astonishing levels of detail.
The interesting thing is that we not only see images that are extremely detailed and sharp but also can see images reflected in the pupils. You can see the shadow of the photographer and rear window frame.

By enlarging this 0.8% image, we can clearly see that the details around the eyes, eyelashes, and eyebrows are still preserved, without getting blurred. Unfortunately, Xiaomi did not share the original 108MP photo, so we can verify it.
However, a detailed picture sometimes causes a lot of trouble for its users. It was like the case of a pervert finding a Japanese singer by zooming in on her eyes through her selfies posted on social media and found where she lived.
