The Xiaomi Mi 9 has been rumored to have a triple rear cameras system. A recent report from China has provided us with the full specifications of the device.

Xiaomi Mi 9
The report shows that the smartphone has the triple rear cameras, but it is not like what you are expecting. The Xiaomi Mi 9 may include a 48MP main Sony IMX586 sensor, a 12MP secondary shooter, and a 3D time-of-flight camera.
The smartphone reportedly will feature a 6.4 inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 19:9 aspect ratio along with a waterdrop notch housing a 24 MP front Sony IMX576 sensor. In terms of camera arrangement on the back, there is one big module containing two shooters, and the third camera is located on another module below. This arrangement is similar to the Huawei P20 Pro setup. It is likely that all of these components will be aligned on the left, as this is the standard of Xiaomi.

The report shows that Mi 9 shall feature a 3,599 mAh battery with 32W fast charging, however, the phone won’t come with wireless charging support. It is also expected to include an in-display fingerprint sensor and run Android 9 Pie-based MIUI 10.
The Mi 9 will be equipped with the Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 855 SoC and the most powerful Cellular Modem that Qualcomm has ever created, the X24 LTE modem. The entry-level version of the smartphone will include 6GB RAM, 128GB storage and will probably cost about CNY 2,999, which is equivalent to $ 435 or approximately Rs 30,000. The device’s dimensions are 155 x 75 x 7.6 mm.
The mentioned information in the report seems to be very probable, but it’s not certain since the device’s details haven’t been officially confirmed. The Xiaomi Mi 9 is scheduled to be released in March. Therefore it is likely that the phone will be introduced at the Mobile World Congress in late February.
