Xiaomi Mi 9 Transparent Edition: Specifications & Features
Except for the 8GB of RAM, the only difference between this model and the earlier Transparent Edition is that this new model will have an f/1.8 lens, seen in the vanilla Mi 9 instead of an f/1.5 lens. Other specifications remain the same between the two.
The handset will sport a 6.4-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED panel with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection and a screen-to-body ratio of 90.7 percent. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 855 SoC, coupled with an Adreno 640 GPU. Powering the phone is a 3,300 mAh battery with support for both reverse wireless charging as well as wireless charging tech.
As for the camera, it will come with a triple camera setup at the back, comprising of a 48MP Sony IMX 586 main sensor with an aperture of f/1.8 and 7P lens. The main camera will be paired with a 12MP Samsung S5K3M5 telephoto sensor with support for 2X optical zoom and a 16MP Sony IMX 481 with 117-degree ultra-wide angle camera.
For taking selfies and video calling, the Explorer Edition sports a 24MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture. The increase in the Aperture lenses and size for the Explorer Edition allow users to take better images in low-light conditions. The phone also has AI-based algorithms that help it detect the current lighting conditions, and it will adjust the setting accordingly for the best photos.
