Xiaomi Mi 9 SE With Snapdragon 712 SoC, Triple Rear Cameras Launched

Besides the Xiaomi Mi 9, Xiaomi also announced the more affordable Xiaomi Mi 9 with Snapdragon 710 SoC, triple cameras, and on-screen fingerprint scanner.

Xiaomi just announced a new addition to its Mi flagship series in the Chinese market packing the latest Snapdragon 855 SoC, triple cameras, and 20W wireless charging. At the same event, the Chinese phone maker also confirmed that the handset will come with the Snapdragon X50 modem with 5G network support. The company also introduced a cheaper model of the phone under the name of Xiaomi Mi 9 SE. The more affordable Xiaomi Mi model will be priced at 1,999 CNY (around Rs. 21,100). It will still feature an on-screen fingerprint scanner and a 48MP main sensor on the rear.
Xiaomi Mi 9 SE: Specifications & Features
The phone sports a 5.97-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED panel and it will be powered by a Snapdragon 712 chipset instead of the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 855 SoC on the standard Xiaomi Mi 9. It also packs 6GB RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of storage. To keep the phone ticking, there is a 3,070mAh battery under the hood, while it is a 3,500mAh battery on the standard model
The more affordable Mi 9 SEhas support 18W fast charging and it sports a triple camera setup on the back as well. The setup comprises of a 48MP mains sensor, an 8MP secondary sensor, and a 13MP third sensor. Beside the Mi 9 SE, the Chinese company also announced a special edition of the Mi 9 which is called Mi 9 Transparent Edition, which will come with a transparent back. The Xiaomi Mi 9 Transparent Edition will have support for up to 40W fast charging and pack a whopping 12GB RAM/256GB of storage.
Xiaomi Mi 9 SE: Price & Availability
The Xiaomi Mi 9 SE is priced at CNY 1,999 (around Rs. 21,100) for the 6GB RAM/64GB storage, and CNY 2,299 (around Rs. 24,300) for the model with 6GB RAM/128GB storage.
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Mi 9 Transparent Edition variant with 12GB of RAM/256GB of internal storage is priced at CNY 3,999 (around Rs. 42,300).
All of the three editions will be available for pre-ordering from 6 pm today, while the sales will begin from 10 am on 26 February via Xiaomi’s website and other e-commerce platforms such as Suning, Tmall, JD.com and more.
