Xiaomi Mi 11 Design Revealed; Likely To Launch Sooner Than Usual

With Xiaomi confirming to be among the first Snapdragon 888-powered phones, Xiaomi Mi 11 & Mi 11 Pro could be launching soon, not in February like their predecessors.

After Qualcomm launched the Snapdragon 888 processor, Xiaomi also confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi 11 will be the first smartphone to be equipped with this high-end processor. Today, the first clear and detailed design image of Mi 11 has also been revealed.

@BenGeskin has revealed the first design image of the Mi 11, based on the leaked information. The actual design at launch may vary slightly, but overall, it should be pretty close to this one.

The impressive feature of Mi 11 is the front design, which is the 4-sided curved screen. This means the bezels will be very thin and we might not even notice the existence of the top and bottom bezels. In addition, the device will still have a hole-punch cut-out for a selfie camera, located in the upper left corner.

However, the design of the back of Mi 11 is interesting. You can see in the below render that the triple rear camera cluster of the Mi 11 is located in a square module but has a rather weird design.

According to @iceuniverse sources, Xiaomi will launch Mi 11 in December of this year. This seems odd, as Xiaomi typically launches new flagship smartphones in February. But according to Xiaomi's confirmation that the Mi 11 will be the first smartphone in the world to be launched with a Snapdragon 888 chipset, it is certain that Xiaomi will launch the Mi 11 earlier than usual.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Leak
The Xiaomi Mi 11 has previously confirmed to be among the first phones to feature the Snapdragon 888 chipset.

The Xiaomi Mi 11 series will be available in at least two versions at launch, including a regular version and a Pro version. According to recently leaked information, the handsets will be equipped with a 2K 120Hz display. They will reportedly feature three rear cameras, which could be a 108MP main sensor, a 30x telephoto camera, and an ultra-wide-angle camera that doubles up as a macro shooter.
