OPPO will most likely launch the OPPO Reno5 series on December 10. That means, in just one year, OPPO introduces three Reno lineups. The upcoming series will include two versions as usual: the standard version and the Pro version. In addition, according to some rumors, it may include a more advanced version called Reno5 Pro +.

Currently, information about the Reno5 series has been leaked quite a lot, both in terms of hardware specs and design. Specifically, in terms of design, both the regular Reno5 and the Pro version will have the same design as their predecessors, including a punch-hole display and a rectangular modular camera cluster on the back. As a smartphone targeting young people, OPPO will also launch a lot of new color options for the Reno5 series to attract users.
Previously, the TENAA certification of the Reno5 in China has confirmed the device’s hardware specifications. Specifically, the standard version will be equipped with the Snapdragon 765G chip and the Pro version will be equipped with the Dimensity 1000+ chip, while the high-end Snapdragon 865 chip will be powering the Pro + version. The battery capacity of all 3 devices will respectively be 4,300mAh, 4,350mAh, and 4,500mAh and they will all support 65W fast charging.
However, it should be noted that all three Reno5 versions are likely to be exclusive versions of the Chinese market. In some other markets such as Europe or India, OPPO often launches a 4G variant in these markets instead of a 5G version, so they might come with different chipsets in India.

In terms of camera, OPPO Reno5 and Reno5 Pro are said to come with four cameras on the back, consisting of 64MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP sensors. There will also be a 32MP selfie camera on the front. Meanwhile, the Pro + version will have a more advanced main camera cluster, including a 50MP Sony IMX7xx main sensor, a 16MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 12MP 2x telephoto camera (with 20x zoom support), and a 2MP macro camera.
According to a different source, the 4G variant of the Reno5 will come with a Snapdragon 720G chipset, a 64MP quad-camera cluster on the back, a 44MP selfie camera on the front, and 8GB of memory / 128GB storage.
Regarding the selling price, this will be the expected starting price for each version. If the three phones come to India, they should have lower prices due to being 4G versions.
- OPPO Reno5 5G price: CNY 2,999 - around Rs. 33,900
- OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G price: CNY 3,799 - around Rs. 42,900
- OPPO Reno5 Pro+ 5G price: CNY 4,499 - around Rs. 50,800
OPPO Reno5 series will be officially introduced on December 10 in China. While the two regular versions are slated to go on sales on December 25, users have to wait until next year to purchase the top-end Reno5 Pro+
