Xiaomi Mi 10 & Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro To Be Announced Globally On 23 February

Xiaomi’s next flagship series is said to be coming very soon. Details of the Xiaomi Mi 10 and Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro have been revealed in multiple leaks and rumors. Now, the brand has officially confirmed the release date of the two via its media invite. 

According to the media invite, the brand will host a launch event on 23 February in Barcelona Spain. That means the event will take place just one day ahead of MWC 2020 (Mobile World Congress) event, which is the biggest event for the telecom sector in the world and also takes place in Barcelona.

The media invite shared by Xiaomi shows the number “10” on the right side, hinting that the event will be for the Xiaomi Mi 10 series. In addition, the invite also shows several hints at the handset’s specifications like optical zoom capability and number of sensors.

Both the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro will likely be equipped with a Snapdragon 865 SoC. The brand also confirmed earlier that it could be among the first brands to release a Snapdragon 865-powered smartphone.

Recently, Xiaomi also announced that the Xiaomi Mi 10 smartphone will pack LPDDR5 RAM by Micron, which is said to offer 50 percent faster data speed and 20 percent more power-efficient.

According to previous rumors, the Mi 10 Pro could be the first phone in the world to carry a whopping 16GB of RAM along with 512GB of storage. In terms of camera, the two could come with a 108MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor, a telephoto lens, a macro camera, and an ultra-wide-angle camera.

The battery capacity of the duo is still unknown, but the vanilla Mi 10 was said to support 48W fast charging solution, while the Pro model could support 66W fast charging technology. Both of them should also have support for quick wireless charging.

There are only around two weeks until the official launch event of the Xiaomi Mi 10. We will know more about the prices, availability, and specifications of the two phones.
