Apple iPhone 9 / iPhone SE 2 Could Make Its Debut In Mid-March

The iPhone SE, launched in 2016, was one of the most successful devices launched by Apple. The direct successor to the phone, iPhone 9 / iPhone SE 2, has been featured on many leaks, rumors, and speculations. They give us a lot of details about the upcoming affordable iPhone model. Leaks also hinted that the phone could be released sometime in the first quarter of 2020. Now, according to the renowned leaker Evan Blass, Apple will launch the iPhone 9 / iPhone SE 2 in mid-March, which is around one month away from now. 

As per the leaker, Apple will release the phone in mid-March, but we haven’t know the exact name of the phone as there has been some confusion about its name. It was first said to be called iPhone SE 2, but more recent rumors pointed at the name iPhone 9. Anyway, we have got CAD-based renders of the phone, showing what the phone could look like.

Most of the leaks and rumors suggested that the iPhone 9 could have a similar design to the iPhone 8. It might also have thick bezels (could be thinner than those of iPhone 8) and the physical home button with Touch ID. However, there was also one rumor saying that it would support Face ID instead. We will see what Apple goes for in just a month from now.

Until then, we have heard that the upcoming iPhone 9 will likely be powered by an Apple A13 Bionic SoC, which is also used on the iPhone 11 series. It is said to pack 3GB RAM, which is 1GB less than the premium iPhone 11. Memory configurations could include 64GB and 128GB storage. Camera-wise, we could see a single sensor on both the front and back of this phone. 

It is tipped to come in Red, Silver, and Space Gray hues and could be offered at a starting price of around Rs. 28,500.
