Xiaomi Mi 10 & 10 Pro Global Launch Date Confirmed; India Launch Might Follow

The Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro will be launched globally on 27 March and their India launch event should follow very soon.

After canceling the official launch event of the Xiaomi Mi 10 series at the MWC 2020 event last month, Xiaomi now confirms that the event will take place on 27 March and it will be live-streamed online. According to recent reports, the Xiaomi Mi 10 & Mi 10 Pro will also be launched in India, possibly following their global launch.
Xiaomi Mi 10 & Mi 10 Pro: Price & Available
The two smartphones have already been up for pre-ordering in China and the first batch was sold out in just minutes. As per reports, around 50,000 units of the Xiaomi Mi 10 and 40,000 units of the Mi 10 Pro were sold during the pre-order.
The Xiaomi Mi 10 & Mi 10 Pro prices are as follows:
Xiaomi Mi 10:
- 8GB RAM + 128GB storage: CNY 3,999, equivalent to Rs. 40,900
- 8GB RAM + 256GB storage: CNY 4,299, equivalent to Rs. 43,900
- 12GB RAM + 256GB storage: CNY 4,699, equivalent to Rs. 48,000
Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro:
- 8GB RAM + 256GB storage: CNY 4,999, equivalent to Rs. 51,000
- 12GB RAM + 256GB storage: CNY 5,499, equivalent to Rs. 56,200
- 12GB RAM + 512GB storage: CNY 5,999, equivalent to Rs. 61,300
Xiaomi Mi 10 & Mi 10 Pro: Specifications & Features
Both phones get the power from a Snapdragon 865 SoC and support 5G connectivity. On the front, they rock the same 6.7-inch AMOLED curved panel with FHD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch response, and HDR10+ playback. They are available in multiple variants with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Both phones have a 20MP camera on the front for selfies.
Now, let’s move to the differences between the two and they mostly lie in the camera setup and battery.
Xiaomi Mi 10 main camera:
- 108MP f / 1.69: wide-angle lens (25mm), OIS support, Samsung Bright HMX sensor
- 13MP f / 2.2: ultra-wide-angle lens (16mm)
- 2MP f / 2.0 macro camera
- 2MP f / 2.0 depth sensor
Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro main camera:
- 108MP f / 1.69: wide-angle lens (25mm), OIS support, Samsung Bright HMX sensor
- 20MP f / 2.2: ultra-wide-angle lens (16mm)
- 12MP f / 2: telephoto lens (50mm)
- 8MP f / 2: long-range telephoto lens (94mm, 10x hybrid zoom)
While the Mi 10 is packed with a 4,500 mAh battery, the Pro model has a slightly larger 4,780 mAh battery. While both of them support the same 30W wireless charging and 5W reverse wireless charging, the Mi 10 Pro (50W) supports a faster wired charging standard compared to the vanilla model (30W).
