The Vivo Y50 has just been officially announced by Vivo Cambodia on its Facebook page. The handset is a mid-range smartphone with a 6.53-inch FHD+ display with a punch-hole at the top, quad cameras at the back, 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support, and a mid-range Snapdragon 665 SoC. This is the second smartphone Vivo announced today as the Vivo V19 global model went official earlier today at a more premium segment.
Vivo Y50: Price & Availability
The Vivo Y50 price is listed as $250 in Cambodia, which is equivalent to around Rs. 19,000. You can start pre-ordering the phone today in either Black or Blue color variants and wait until 11 April for the shipment to start.
Vivo Y50: Specifications & Features
On the front, it is covered by a large 6.53-inch display of FHD+ resolution. It features an “Ultra-O” panel, meaning it has a single punch-hole housing a selfie shooter, which is placed at the upper left corner. It is powered by a Snapdragon 665 SoC at the helm, which is one of Qualcomm’s latest mid-range chipsets. The brand only offers a single variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage, which is expandable with a microSD card. Fueling the device is a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging technology. Overall, the device is not a great choice in the sub-Rs. 20,000 price.
Moving to the camera department, it gets a single selfie camera with unknown resolution housed inside the front punch-hole and four cameras at the back placed inside a rectangular housing. The rear setup includes a 13MP primary camera, a 2MP dedicated macro camera, a 2MP portrait shooter, and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle snapper with a 120-degree viewing angle. Finally, there is also a fingerprint reader mounted at the back for biometric security.
Vivo Y50 price: around Rs. 19,000
