The Vivo V15 Pro and Oppo F11 Pro are two new phones in India that have the new elevating selfie camera. Check out which phone is better in our comparison.

The Oppo F11 Pro was recently launched in the Indian market as a successor to the Oppo F9 Pro. One of the key highlights of the Oppo F11 Pro is its elevating selfie camera and its sub-Rs. 30,000 price tag. Not just that, this new handset comes with some significant changes in many aspects such as camera and design. However, the F11 Pro is not the only phone that offers the elevating design in the segment. Vivo also released its Vivo V15 Pro with an elevating selfie camera, and it seems even come with better hardware specifications compared to the Oppo handset. So, let’s see which phone is better out of the two.

Vivo V15 Pro vs. Oppo F11 Pro: Design & Display

The two phones don’t differ on the design front, but they are actually different in their displays. While the Vivo offering sports a 6.39-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED panel, the Oppo handset features a bigger 6.5-inch FHD+ LCD panel. As they both come with the new elevating selfie camera design, their displays are notch-free with a small bottom chin.

Besides the display, the Oppo and Vivo phones are also improved in terms of their overall designs, and they both have a gradient finish at the back. The Vivo V15 Pro has a triple camera system stacked vertically on the left side, and the handset comes in red and blue colour variants. Meanwhile, the Oppo F11 Pro only comes with a dual camera system stacked vertically on the rear which is located at the middle and its come with Aurora green or Thunder black finish.

As mentioned, the Vivo V15 Pro appears to be better than the Oppo F11 Pro in this aspect. While the Oppo offering packs an octa-core MTK Helio P70 chipset built on the 12nm process, the Vivo handset is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 675 chipset built on the 11nm process. The Snapdragon 675 SoC should theoretically be better than the Helio P70 SoC.

Moreover, the Oppo phone comes with 6GB of RAM/128GB of storage which is expandable up to 256GB via a microSD slot while Vivo offers up to 8GB of RAM/128GB of storage on the Vivo V15 Pro with an option to expand its storage up to 256GB via a microSD slot.

As for software, both of them run the latest Android 9.0 Pie with their respective custom UIs on top. To be more specific, the Oppo handset runs Oppo’s ColorOS 6.0 while the Vivo offering runs Vivo’s Funtouch OS 9.0.

In terms of security, the Oppo F11 Pro features a fingerprint scanner mounted on the rear whereas the Vivo V15 Pro is equipped with a more advanced on-screen fingerprint scanner. However, the Oppo handset packs a larger 4,000 mAh cell while the Vivo phone comes with a smaller 3,700 mAh battery.

Vivo and Oppo are two handsets that come with great design and camera. Both the Vivo V15 Pro and Oppo F11 Pro sport a 48MP primary sensor on their rear panels. These 48Mp sensors are capable of capturing more detailed photos and also use hardware and software algorithm to combine four pixels into one for a 48MP equivalent photo. It is really useful if you want to take pictures in a far distance like landscape photos with great details.

Besides the primary 48MP sensor, both the handsets come with a secondary 5MP sensor that allows them to capture ultra wide-angle images. The Vivo V15 Pro also has an additional 8MP sensor with an ultra-wide lens. Up front, the Vivo handset has a higher resolution front camera which is a 32MP shooter while the Oppo offering has a 16MP shooter. As for camera features, they both have beautification mode and other selfie features.

If you are really into new design and innovation or full-screen design, the Vivo V15 Pro and Oppo F11 Pro are two great choices. The Oppo F11 Pro has a slightly lower price tag compared to the Vivo V15 Pro. It is priced at Rs. 24,990 while the Vivo counterpart costs Rs. 28,990. However, paying Rs. 4,000 more for the Vivo V15 Pro, you can get an AMOLED panel instead of an LCD on the Oppo handset. Moreover, it also has a more advanced on-screen fingerprint scanner and an additional 8MP camera with an ultra wide-angle lens.

The Snapdragon 675 SoC should be more powerful than the Helio P70 SoC, but it should not be a significant margin. Therefore, the final decision should come with to whether you want to pay more money for the additional features Vivo offers.
