Not long ago, Vivo officially launched its Vivo S1. The device features a luxurious appearance, with a glass-covered back that looks sleek and beautiful. In addition, Vivo also equipped a big 4,500mAh battery and a triple rear camera setup for the phone.
Now let's have a full look at this interesting phone with the Skyline Blue color version in this article.
Overall design
At first glance, I was impressed with the beautiful overall design of Vivo S1. When you look at the handset, the phone frame appears to be made of metal with a silver color, but when holding it, you will know that it is, in fact, made of plastic.
However, because the overall size of the device is slightly larger, which is 159.53 x 75.23 x 8.13 mm, it is a bit difficult to put the device in your pocket.
In return, both the front and back of the Vivo S1 are covered with a glass layer, which makes it look more polished. However, when used for a while, the back of the handset will be full of fingerprints. So, you should use a phone case or clean the device regularly.
Along with that, the rear panel also has a nice gradient color effect, with white on the upper right gradually turning to light blue, then turned into a gentle purple-pink (at the bottom left of the phone).
The gradient effect not only helps the Vivo S1 look more beautiful but also gives users a luxurious feeling. In my opinion, this version will be very suitable for women.
The phone also has 3 cameras with LED lights on the back. In addition, there is Vivo line put at the bottom of the handset. As you can see, the camera frame has the same color as the camera body, thereby helping the camera module to stand out.
The camera setup includes a 16MP main sensor with an aperture of f/1.78, an 8MP telephoto sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. Meanwhile, the camera's selfie has a resolution of up to 32 MP and supports AI technology.
On the front, the Vivo S1 sports a 6.39-inch display with a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels (Full HD+) and a notch. Combined with the bright Super AMOLED panel with deep black, the phone is expected to bring a pleasant experience when watching movies and playing games.
In addition, the phone's display also has an on-screen fingerprint sensor with fast and accurate unlocking speed. The right side of the Vivo S1 has volume and power buttons.
The left side has a virtual assistant activation button and a SIM + microSD slot.
Speaker, the audio jack and the micro-USB charging slot are located at the bottom of the device. With an expected price range of about Rs. 17,990, Vivo S1 should be integrated with a USB-C port instead of a micro-USB.
Meanwhile, the top edge of the handset does not have any buttons.
Hardware configuration
In terms of configuration, Vivo S1 is powered by an Helio P65 chipset produced on a 12 nm process. Combined with 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM, you will be able to download many favorite applications and save commemorative photos without worrying about running out of memory. The storage can also be expandable up to 256GB via microSD card.
Besides, Vivo S1 also has a beefy 4,500mAh battery with fast charging tech. Regarding software, it runs Android 9.0 Pie at launch.
Summary
At first look, I was really impressed by the beautiful appearance of Vivo S1. With the glass-covered back combined with impressive gradient color effects, the handset exudes its luxurious and sleek beauty. Besides, it also has 3 rear cameras and a big 4,500 mAh battery with fast charging support.
