A new Vivo smartphone has just bagged TENAA certification and its listing gives us a good understanding of the phone’s specs and design. The leak is further corroborated by Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station, which claims that the device with V1950A model number will arrive very soon and the Vivo NEX 3S 5G is actually the commercial form of the newly-announced Vivo APEX 2020 concept smartphone. Therefore, the upcoming Vivo NEX 3S 5G might be a very interesting phone.

According to the listing, the Vivo NEX 3s 5G will come with the powerful Snapdragon 865 chipset with a Snapdragon X55 5G model for dual-mode 5G connectivity (standalone and non-standalone). However, that is not the only outstanding thing about the handset. It will sport a dual-curved AMOLED display that is said to bend 120 degrees on both sides to create a waterfall-like design, similar to the Vivo APEX 2020. That means the handset will also have virtual buttons just like what Vivo introduced on the APEX 2020. On the TENAA listing, its display is revealed to have a size of 6.89 inches and support FHD+ (1,080 x 2,256 pixels) resolution.

It will be available in multiple variants with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of storage. Camera-wise, there might be a triple camera cluster at the back of this phone that includes a 64MP main sensor, a 13MP telephoto lens, and a 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera. The camera setup is housed in a circular module that looks like that of the APEX 2020. On the front, it is tipped to have a 16MP selfie camera housed on a pop-up module, which is pretty disappointing since the APEX 2020 was introduced with an in-display selfie camera. However, it is understandable as the in-display camera technology is still under-developed and is not ready for mass production. In terms of camera, we expect to see Android 10 pre-installed on the Vivo NEX 3S 5G. Its battery will reportedly have a capacity of 4,250 mAh and support fast charging standard up to 55W. The photo on the TENAA listing shows that the phone will be available in at least an Orange color. Even though the leak doesn’t specify the Vivo NEX 3S 5G launch date, Digital Chat Station suggests that the handset should make its debut soon.
